Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring the organization is properly managed, staffed, and trained. You will be responsible for the success of our Customer Service, Production Art, Printing & Manufacturing, and Order Fulfillment teams. You will also be involved in implementing new processes, procedures, departments, service offerings, and other initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
- Direct the training and coaching of all teams to achieve a standard of best-in-industry quality and service.
- Work with department managers to set and maintain standards by monitoring, reviewing, and appraising department performance and planning for improvement.
- Evaluate the performance of various departments using quantitative and qualitative metrics that you will help to establish.
- Prepare quarterly projections and plans to meet the business demands and goals including managing staffing, equipment, and other resources.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in company efficiency and effectiveness by analyzing process workflow and implementing changes.
- Provide a deep understanding of operations processes and data to contribute to strategic plans.
- Understand and communicate customer issues with managers and teams while devising ways of improving the customer experience.
- Continually update and develop pertinent knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, researching industry topics, maintaining personal networks, and staying current on industry trends.
- Manage and develop relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Develop processes to deliver new products and services coordinated with business development initiatives.
- Maintain and promote a culture aligned with the company’s philosophy and brand with a commitment to a customer service focused mentality.
- Communicate with legal counsel and safety departments to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations.
Requirements
- Well versed in collecting and analyzing data to gather insight and provide guidance on strategic plans.
- Knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, or similar programs for data analysis and presentation.
- Ability and drive to acquire new knowledge of industry topics, technologies, and proprietary processes.
- Ability to make quick decisions and possess excellent problem solving skills
- Leadership skills and insight capable of directing and motivating a large team while coaching reporting managers to lead their departments.
Education & Experience:
- Masters degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- Extensive experience in management
